A pair of gold-plated clip-on earrings with filigree spheres and simulated diamonds didn’t make it to the big screen, but they were worn by Marilyn Monroe in publicity photos used to promote the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1953.
Julien’s Auctions held “Property from Joseff of Hollywood: Treasures from the Vault,” auction in November 2017. The earrings original estimated was $60,000-$70,000 and the legendary earrings were later sold for an astounding $112,500.
