Rolls-Royce Belonging To Freddie Mercury At Auction For Charity Project In Ukraine
Ukrainian artist Andrii Mihailovichi Danilko, known as Verka Serdiucika, will auction his 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, which Queen frontman Freddie Mercury drove in the last years of his life.
Danylko said he once bought this iconic car to give it to the Queen Museum or to present it in a major exhibition in Ukraine, but the war made him change his plans.
All the money he will get for this special Rolls-Royce will be used for the construction of a Rehabilitation center in the Lviv region for Ukrainian servicemen and civilians who have lost limbs, have been disfigured, or have suffered from post-traumatic stress due to the war.
The Rolls-Royce - "An Investment In The Future Of Ukraine"
The auction will take place on November 5 in London at Sotheby's. Considering the dramatic situation in Ukraine, Sothebyʼs will not take a percentage of the profit, and the artist will direct all the money received for the car to the construction of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Ukraine.

"Now, in a difficult time for us, I have decided that the silver Rolls Royce will be an investment in the future of the country. It is worth noting that the auction house does not take its interest, as it usually happens, and all 100% goes to charity - free assistance in Ukraine under the latest medical standards for adults and children affected by the war.

The first modern rehabilitation center in Ukraine Super-humans will start working in early 2023. For its construction, the Super-humans team involves the support of charities from all over the world. The project has already been supported by Sting and his wife Trudy, British businessman Richard Branson, the first lady of Ukraine Elena Zelenska, and American actor Liev Schreiber," Verka Serdiucika said.
