A Rookie Card Signed By Serena Williams Sold For Record Price At Auction
Reuters reported that the rookie card, printed in 2003, was sold for 44,280 dollars over the weekend, at an auction organized by Goldin Auctions.
"Final Sale Price: $44,280. An all-time record for any women’s sports card", wrote the New Jersey-based auction house on its official Twitter account.

According to ESPN, the alternative-asset trading platform Alt purchased the Serena Williams rookie card on behalf of a private client.
"People are accepting women's trading cards as collectibles," ESPN quoted Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin as saying.
