Beckham Gave His Son A $550,000 Vintage Jaguar As A Wedding Present
Former English soccer legend David Beckham has given his son Brooklyn and actress Nicola Peltz a 550,000 dollars vintage Jaguar car as a wedding present.
According to the English media, the vintage Jaguar XK140 car has been completely restored and upgraded and the engine replaced with an electric one.
According to Top Gear, a team of 120 people spent "thousands of hours of work" completing the entire project - a vintage "jewel".
As well as installing an electric powertrain, the brakes, suspension, and steering have all been updated.
The vintage Jaguar is truly exquisite, and if you look at it closely, you will see that there is a special plaque bearing the initials of the newlyweds.
David Beckham commissioned the custom vehicle British electric firm Lunaz, a company based in Silverstone (United Kingdom). The former soccer player is also an investor in the company (he has a 10 percent stake in the firm).
According to media reports, the former England captain couldn't resist test-driving the vintage Jaguar XK140, so he and his wife Victoria reportedly used it to make an entrance at their Palm Beach, Florida wedding on Saturday.
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz were then seen driving it the next day.
Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, Mel C, and Chef Gordon Ramsay were among the distinguished guests of the event.
Brooklyn and Nicola have been together since 2019 and were planning a wedding in 2020, but the pandemic threw their plans into disarray.
