Elton John And Britney Spears Will Lunch A Song Together - "Hold Me Closer"
Pop singer Britney Spears and British superstar Elton John will collaborate on a new song, the record label that will distribute it announced Monday, AFP reports.
The singers will collaborate on "Hold Me Closer," according to Interscope Records.
Although the release date of the new song remains unknown, it will be Britney Spears' first new track in years. The title is inspired by the lyrics of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer," released in the early 1970s.
Britney Spears Teams Up With Elton John For A New Hit
The announcement comes after several days of speculation about a possible collaboration between the two mega-stars.
Britney Spears and her boyfriend Sam Asghari recently announced that the singer had suffered a miscarriage.
Her pregnancy was made public five months after a California court ordered an end to the controversial guardianship mainly exercised by her father, Jamie Spears. The measure was decided in 2008 because of the star's psychological disorders.
The pop star, who released "...Baby One More Time", has not given an interview in several years and rarely appears in public.
Elton John, who celebrated his 75th birthday a few months ago, is best known for "Rocket Man". In 2018, he embarked on a significant farewell tour. Scheduled over several years, the tour had more than 300 dates worldwide before the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
