The artist expressly requested a number of amenities, that are sure to excite potential buyers.

On 25 March, the day the online auction will be held, Sir Elton John will celebrate his 74rd birthday and although he's still standing, he really likes driving too. And this was once upon a time one of his favourite cars.
Special Amenities
The interior design of the Maserati was modified - the seats were upholstered in white leather and their edges were sewn in red.
Moreover, the car set to go up for auction has all its manuals in the original leather wallet, along with the original roll of the parts and a number of options and special accessories installed especially for Sir Elton John, including split rim wheels, as well as a modernization of the stereo equipment with a Kenwood one that, at the time, cost £ 4,000.
All original delivery documentation clearly certifies that the vehicle was purchased by William A Bong Ltd., Sir Elton John's company.
The History of the Car
At the time, a total of about 3,000 such Maserati models were made in just 10 years, being a production record for the Maserati Spyder.
