The "nanoabaya" is a new special outfit that could revolutionize fashion among Arab women.
Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Qatar's most prominent woman, wore a special National Sports Day outfit for the first time, which was designed using a combination of art and science.
This sports abaya can shield the body from harmful sun rays during extreme summer temperatures and absorb the vitamin D-rich light necessary for the body.
The "Nanoabaya" is an abaya with heat-insulating properties made from nanotechnology-treated fabric and was designed by Virginia Commonwealth University student Noor Rashid Butt.

Sheikha Moza - who is also the mother of the current ruler of Qatar - revealed via her official Instagram account that the design was "part of a larger project".
"Combining art and science, VCUarts Qatar fashion design student Noor Rashid Butt designed an abaya using fabric that has been treated using nanotechnology.
This 'nanoabaya' absorbs vitamin D-rich light and blocks the sun's harmful rays in extreme summer climates, and has thermal insulating properties.
This design is part of a wider project which aims to develop functional textiles with thermal, anti-bacterial, UV-protection, self-cleaning, or water-repellent properties, a project overseen by Dr. Khaled Saoud, Physics professor, and Christopher Fink, Chair of Fashion Design, at VCUarts Qatar", Sheikha Moza wrote on Instagram.
Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Missned is one of the three consorts of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir of the State of Qatar. She is now 63 years old.
Sheikha Moza is the co-founder and chairperson of the Qatar Foundation, and she is a billionaire. Many people are charmed by her jet-setting lifestyle.
