The exhibition at the Palais Oppenheim in Cologne runs until 4 May. The subsequent auction will be the first held in Sotheby's new Cologne office.
Many other objects and accessories belonging to Karl Lagerfeld were already auctioned last year in Monaco and Paris. Together they brought in €18.2 million, four times higher than previously estimated.
