Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis Raised Millions For Ukrainian Refugees

Hollywood star couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have raised millions quickly after setting up a GoFundMe page seeking humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees.

Mila Kunis, who was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, in 1983, moved to the United States in 1991.

"While we are witnessing the bravery of Ukrainians, we are also bearing witness to the unimaginable burden of those who have chosen safety. Through GoFundMe, this fundraiser will provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts. The fund will benefit Flexport.org and Airbnb.org, two organizations that are actively on the ground providing immediate help to those who need it most. Flexport.org is organizing shipment", Kunis Mila tweeted.

Ukraine In Ruins, Blood, And Tears

Over one million Ukrainians flee the country to save their children and elders from bombs. They left behind their homes and left the country with nothing but some clothes and a few goods. Others remained in their beloved country and their situation is tragic.

In Mariupol, for example, the inhabitants are in a desperate situation. Mayor Vadim Boichenko said the city had no water, heat, or electricity and was running out of food.

"The Russians want to wipe out Mariupol and its inhabitants from the face of the earth," the mayor said, accusing the bombing of residential areas and hospitals.

The port city, which has a population of 400,000, is a strategic target for Russia. If Russia controlled the city, it would help them build a landmine corridor between Crimea, which has been occupied by Russia since 2014, and the Russian-backed regions of Lugansk and Donetsk.

The town of Volnovaha has also been subjected to some of the worst attacks in Russia. Guardian correspondent Emma Graham-Harrison reported on the terrible situation in the city: In Volnovaha, the attack is still so intense that the bodies lie uncollected.

Thousands of Ukrainians are trapped in the basement, with dwindling food and water supplies, sheltering from a seemingly meaningless attack on a city that Lubinet says he has no military defenders at its center.
