Divorce Of The Year In Sport: Tom Brady And Gisele Bundchen Split Up
NFL star Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen decided to divorce, ending a 13-year marriage.
"We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve. We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration," Tom Brady wrote in his Instagram Story.
Tom Brady added that, of course, this decision is painful and difficult, as it is for many people going through the same situation.
"Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world, However, we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives are yet to be written. We wish each other only the best in the next chapters of life. And we respectfully ask that you respect our privacy," Tom Brady added.
Tom Brady And Gisele Bundchen Decided To Divorced
"With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care, and attention they greatly deserve.
The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," wrote Gisele Bundchen on social media.
Tom Brady And Gisele Bundchen Were Married For 13 Years
Tom Brady, 45, and Gisele Bundchen, 42, have been married since February 2009 and have two children together: Benjamin Rein (born December 2009) and Vivian Lake (born December 2012).
Tom Brady also has a son, John (born in 2007), from his relationship with Bridget Moynahan.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have a fabulous fortune to share. According to estimates, they share 733 million dollars, which will be the subject of a division settled by the court with their lawyers.
Although Tom Brady is America's top footballer, with seven SuperBowl titles, his ex-wife, the Brazilian model, three years younger, has earned more money than him.
From contracts and public appearances, Gisele Bundchen is said to have amassed 400 million dollars, while Tom Brady has brought in only 333 million dollars to their joint fortune.
The two have two children together, and the initiative for divorce was taken by Gisele Bundchen, who was unhappy that Tom Brady had neglected his family, returning to work 40 days after announcing his retirement.
