Alexander McQueen Creations & Princess Diana's Earrings
Pictured in various Alexander McQueen dresses, Kate Middleton posed for fashion photographer Paolo Roversi, who worked with celebrities such as Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, and described the duchess's photo as "a moment of pure joy."
Roversi said the duchess could "bring hope to the whole world" with "her positive energy."
"I was moved by her warmth and friendly welcome and enchanted by her shining eyes that reflected the loveliness of her soul and her smile showing the generosity of her heart. It was a profound and rich experience for me, an unforgettable moment. I have met a wonderful person, a person who, with her positive energy, can bring hope to the whole world," Roversi said for "The Guardian".

In the only colorful image of the series, Kate wears an asymmetrical red McQueen dress with a shoulder with diamond earrings, borrowed from the Queen's private collection. Her hair billows out in loose curls, while she has a casual pose with her hands in the pockets of her dress.
The other two photos are in monochrome.

In the black-and-white pictures, Kate wears Princess Diana's Collingwood pearl and diamond earrings.
Maybe the most interesting of the three photos is the side-on portrait which looks quite similar a portrait of the Queen's late sister Margaret taken by Cecil Beaton in honor of the Princess's 19th birthday in 1949.

As for jewelry, Kate Middleton chose earrings, which were once worn by Princess Diana, and her engagement ring, also previously belonging to her regretted mother-in-law.
