Three Facts About Cartier Bracelets That Will Surprise You

If you’re among lucky owners of precious Cartier jewelry pieces, like bracelets for example, you probably used to by now to an extra attention and hearing compliments toward your sense of style when wearing the jewelry. Today, we want to bring these three interesting facts about Cartier bracelets to a spotlight. You might be surprised to learn some of them.

Cartier Love bracelets are sold with screwdrivers

Cartier Love bracelet has been featured in popular culture as a contemporary symbol of love and commitment. The Love bracelet concept--a flat yellow, gold or rose gold bangle, studded with diamonds, and featuring crews motifs--was created in 1970s New York. The Love bracelet designer, Aldo Cipullo, was an Italian-American jewelry designer. Prices for the bracelets differ depending on the item's materials and some can exceed $35,000.   These are known facts, but did you know Love Bracelets were named "the biggest problem item" by airlines security personnel and a Transportation Security Administration? This is due to the need for airline passengers to remove all metal items when passing through Airport security metal detectors and because a tool is needed to remove the Cartier Love bracelets. Unlike traditional bracelets, which are either wide enough to slip them over the hand onto the wrist or can readily be opened in order to put them on, the Love bracelet is designed to be opened only by using a special screwdriver that is supplied with every bracelet.
