Fujii Yoshitoyo Japanese Damascene 24K gold and iron box depicting dragon. Signed with the trade mark for the Fujii Damascene Company founded by Yoshitoyo (Biho) Fujii. Fujii was born in 1868 in Kyoto, Japan and invented new techniques for the art of damascening. He operated the Fujii Damascene Company from about 1925 through the mid 20th Century. In many exhibitions of this kind, Fujii was awarded first class medals for his exhibits, and to his great honor his works has been purchased by the Imperial Household. Approximate Measurements: Diameter 1.8" Height 0.9"
