Hollywood Star Ben Stiller Visits Ukraine. Message Of Compassion
Hollywood actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Ben Stiller visited Ukraine. Last time he was spotted in the village of Makariv, located in the Kyiv region.
Previously, Ben Stiller was seen in Lviv.
After Lviv, the Hollywood mega-star came to the village of Makariv, Bucha district, Kyiv region. Bucha region is one of the places where Russian soldiers are accused of committing terrible atrocities.
Mass graves were discovered in Bucha and the media wrote about cases of torture, rapes and innocent civilians shot while riding their bikes or walking. Images showed dead civilians, lined up with their hands behind their backs, shot at point-blank range - proof that summary executions had taken place.
According to Ukrinform, the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine announced the presence of Ben Stiller in Ukraine on Facebook.
"Hollywood actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Ben Stiller came to Makariv in Kyiv Region", the Rada announced.
The Verkhovna Rada expressed gratitude to all those who help inform people around the world about Ukraine and the consequences of the large-scale invasion.
Ben Stiller Sent A Message Of Support And Compassion
A day before, the Hollywood actor was in Poland on a humanitarian mission. There, he spoke with Ukrainian refugees who had ended up in the village of Medyka, near the Ukrainian border.
"I’ve just arrived in Poland with UNHCR, to meet families whose lives have been torn apart by war and violence in Ukraine.
Millions have been forced to flee their homes with over 90% being women and children. I’m here to learn, to share stories that illustrate the human impact of war, and to amplify calls for solidarity.
I hope you’ll follow along and share your own messages of support, for people who have fled their homes in Ukraine and for people who have been forced to flee all over the world. Everyone has the right to seek safety. Whoever, wherever, whenever," the actor wrote on Instagram.
Ben Stiller Is Not The First Hollywood Star To Visit Ukraine
In late April, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, UNHCR special envoy for refugees, made a surprise visit to the western Ukrainian city of Lviv.
According to Lviv regional governor, Angelina Jolie had come to speak to displaced people who have found refuge in Lviv, including children undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station in early April.
