Four days before his 37th birthday, the NBA star scored 39 points for his team. In doing so, he broke Kobe Bryant's previous record for points scored in games played on Christmas Day - 395.

James reached 422 points in 16 games played on Christmas. The previous record-holder was Kobe Bryant, the legendary NBA player who died in 2020 in a tragic helicopter crash.
James and Bryant now have the most games played on Christmas, 16 apiece.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is aiming for another record in these games - the number of wins. He is currently tied with his former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade with 10 wins apiece.
Considering the fact that Dwyane Wade is retired, LeBron James may become the only player with the most wins on Christmas if his team is scheduled to play on this day next year.
