In response, Musk said he would send Jeff Bezos, whom he dethroned again from the position of the richest man in the world, two souvenirs to remind him of where the two are in the Forbes billionaires ranking.
"I'm sending a giant statue of the digit '2' to Jeffrey B., along with a silver medal," Elon Musk told Forbes in an email.
In August last year, Bezos became the first person in the world with a fortune of 200 billion dollars. More recently, the threshold was briefly reached by Frenchman Bernard Arnault, CEO of the Louis Vuitton luxury conglomerate Moët Hennessy.
Elon Musk and former Amazon CEO have repeatedly dethroned each other from the position of the richest man in the world several times lately after the sharp rise in Tesla stock prices led to an explosive rise in its CEO.
