The Incident Between Chris Rock and Will Smith

Smith took the stage during the 2022 Oscars and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

While presenting the best documentary at the Oscars, Chris Rock made a joke about the bald head of Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith's wife, which he compared to Demi Moore's "G.I. Jane ”(1997). Rock said he can't wait to see Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia, in "G.I. Jane 2 ”,

As Chris went to continue his speech, Will stormed the stage and slapped Chris: The sound then was cut out on the U.S. broadcast, but Smith appeared to be shouting: "Keep my wife’s name out of your f-----g mouth!"

Smith won the Oscar for "Best Actor" for his role in "King Richard," and in the aftermath, he apologized in tears.

"I want to apologize to the Academy. I want to apologize to all my nominated colleagues. This is a beautiful moment and I'm not crying because I won an award. It's not about winning a prize for me. It's about being able to enlighten all people," the actor said, but he did specifically apologize to Chris Rock.
