Rare antique silver and matte enamel oval box made by Rudolf Steiner. It comes with original fitted box. Approximate Measurements: Length 4" Width 5.4". Austrian hallmark and "RS" maker's mark (Rudolf Steiner).
Austrian born philosopher, and architect Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) was the founder of the Anthroposophical Society. In the early 1900's Steiner created some stunning jewelry designs which were executed by a small number of appointed goldsmiths and silversmiths, mainly Bertha Meyer-Jacobs and Karl Morh.
