Cartier "Home Front" WWII US Army Friends Of Soldiers And Sailors Brooches. Vintage clips made by Cartier, signed Cartier, U.S. Pat.2-220-442.
A concave star in pink gold plated, centering a cylinder mounted en tremblant, with American flag, stars and stripes enameled in red, white and blue, surmounted by a gold plated medallion depicting an American Eagle surrounded with the legend "Friends Of Soldiers And Sailors, New York State". This Cartier brooch was made to promote and assist the war effort during WWII and was provided by the organization of "Friends Of Soldiers And Sailors". Measures approx. 1 3/4" in diameter by 7/8" tall and weighs 12.5 grams.
