About the Designer
Raymond C. Yard began his jewelry career at a very young age of thirteen years old-at the well-established firm of Marcus & Co. in New York. Raymond Yard is considered one of the great Art Deco jewelers, and his designs are known to be the highest standards in fine jewelry. Collectors of fine estate jewelry have recognized the magnificence of Yard’s work who created pieces for some of the most famous personalities in American history. Raymond C. Yard, who retired in 1958 as head of the New York jewelry company bearing his name, died at age 79.
