René Lalique Etched Enameled Glass Ring

Etched and Enameled Glass Ring, René Lalique, circa 1920.
Description below courtesy of Sotheby's see here link

Of bombé form, composed of crimson-hued glass etched and enameled with white flowers and stems, size 5¼, unsigned.

Catalogue Note

A ring of similar design is illustrated in The Jewelry of René Lalique, A Goldsmiths' Company Exhibition, May 28 to July 24, 1987, by Vivienne Becker, page 168, item 177. As the catalogue notes, it is very rare to see enamelwork on glass. The cranberry color of the item offered here is rarer still for Lalique.
