These exceptional vintage Chanel Paris earrings date to the 1950s, a formative era in the development of couture costume jewelry. Although unsigned, their design, construction, and materials are fully consistent with Chanel’s Paris atelier, where some of the most iconic Gripoix jewelry of the mid-20th century was created. Gripoix glass was produced by hand, with molten glass poured into molds and slowly cooled, resulting in organic textures and subtle variations that give each piece its distinctive character.
